Island's Lament by Mary Hoey

An award-winning play set in 1930's Ireland, a family is forced to leave a lonely island for the mainland, but the ties that bind are hard to break. An extensively performed play, both in Ireland and London, the play consists of four interwoven monologues as mother, father, son and daughter draw the audience into a web of memories, all fiercely tied to the bleak Blasket Island which has been their world.

Celtic Craic

Celtic Craic is a celebration of the best of young Irish acting and singing talent. Theatre pieces include classic, contemporary and new and songs and music including many traditional classics.

Brendan's Women by Tom O'Brien

Beatrice, Brendan’s wife, has come over from Dublin to have it out with Brendan, concerning rumours that he is having an affair with Valerie Danby–Smith, and is about to divorce her. Valerie, who had been Ernest Hemingway’s p/a before he shot himself, has since been working with Brendan on the NY production of The Hostage. Beatrice is now pregnant with Brendan’s child, and has heard a rumour that Valerie is in the same situation.

Down Bottle Alley by Tom O'Brien

Down Bottle Alley is based on the book, My Wretched Alcoholism: This Damn Puppeteer, by Brian Charles Harding. Brian began drinking at the age of ten, was an alcoholic by fifteen, and forty-five years later is still struggling with the demons of alcoholism.

There will be a book launch of the play script as well as a relaunch of of the original book along with a performance of the play. Admission free!

Cricklewood Cowboys by Tom O'Brien

Cricklewood Cowboys tells the story of a group of Irish emigrant working on the building sites around London in the 1970’s. The play examines, in a warts and all way, the construction industry over a period of twenty years. and casts a beady on eye on proceeding in a darkly humorous fashion.
